I’ll spare you the snooze-fest scroll about what turmeric is, where to buy it, how to peel it (and where to purchase the peeler of course) and how it will radically change your life. But at a minimum, you should be made aware of the numerous health benefits coming your way in just one cup of this delicious elixir.
Turmeric Almond Mylk
Yield: 1 cup / Serving Size: 1 cup / Prep time: 5 min
*This recipe is a little high in carbs (and sugar) due to the dates (in the almond mylk). You can choose to omit them, or reserve this recipe for a carb re-feed day. 🙂
- 1 cup Homemade Almond Mylk*
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- Pinch fresh grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon or cinnamon stick
*Or store-bought if you’re not up for the work. But homemade is soooooo much better!
- Warm almond mylk in pot over low heat.
- Once warmed, whisk in remaining ingredients.
Best enjoyed before bedtime, or on a Netflix and chill sort of day.
