It certainly helps to have a dehydrator and a fryer, but neither are a must if you’re in the mood for healthy chips and fries.
Sweet Potato Fries
Ingredients
- 1 sweet potato
- 2 TBL olive oil
- Hawaiian lava salt to taste
- Fresh cracked pepper to taste
Here’s How
- Preheat the oven to 475 degrees.
- Slice sweet potato lengthwise and slice into sizable french fry chunks.
- Toss in oil, salt and pepper.
- Bake until soft and crispy (20-30 minutes).
Kale Chips
Ingredients
- 3 cups raw, washed kale
- 2 TBL olive oil
- Pinch onion powder
- Pinch garlic powder
- Pinch Himalayan sea salt
- Fresh ground pepper
- 1 TBL white vinegar (for washing)
Here’s How
- Preheat oven to 475 degrees.
- Wash kale in vinegar bath.
- Chop kale into 1″ chunks.
- Toss in olive oil.
- Season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Bake until crispy (15-20 minutes)
